IPHONE FILMMAKING GADGETS 2020
The world of micro budget filmmaking is changing so quickly that it is difficult to keep up. Years ago when I started this blog I believed that the iphone would someday become a low budget option for filmmakers. I had no idea at the time that Apple would advance the tech to revival that of the higher quality Dslr cameras.
With all versions of the iphone at the level of the 7 plus and beyond, with a little skill and a few add on apps, you can record footage that could stand beside most of what we see on movie theater screens and almost everything that streams online.
Lets look at some of the gadgets that can improve our filmmaking.
Now let’s look at the best of the moment lens.
Next if I have said this once I have said it a hundred times. Sound is the most overlooked part of the filmmaking process. If you want to be a pro you are going to have to record quality sound.
Lastly we need to look at lighting. Proper lighting will allow improve the images that you record drastically.
As a bonus I would like to look at a film where many of the best scenes could have been shot with an iphone. I believe that character study is the most under attempted type of film making. Perhaps the Joker will change that.
