The iPhone 6 has been on the market long enough for there to be some great footage available. We have some side by side footage with other cameras along with some new short films. This device comes at a cost equal to some of the mid range dslr cameras and its ability to capture quality video is equal to most of those cameras. If you are planning on becoming an indie film maker you could not have come along at a better time in history. The equipment is literally in your pocket and the ability to distribute your finish product to the world gets easier day by day as more distribution platforms come online each and everyday.
The first video that I want to show you is footage from a Red Epic shot along side the iPhone 6. The epic is a better camera, but the difference in footage is minor considering that the epic comes at a cost of a few thousand dollars more than the iPhone 6.
Next is a one minute long short film shoot using the iPhone 6.
Here is some footage shot with the iphone 6. Sometimes a phone filmmaker should take time to experiment with what the camera can and cannot do well before diving in.

Here is a new great little tutorial on how to make a iPhone film. This tutorial is over two years old so I would like you to understand that the footage shot with the device is good and at the time it was made the complains about the camera were accurate. Since then there have been a series of improvements made where apps are concerned and he was talking about the iPhone 4 and not the iPhone 5 or iPhone 6. The video quality has improved with each smart phone.
