2021 iPhone Short Films quarter One

We all decided to become film makers because we love to watch films.

It was this love of film that made each of us decide to learn the basics of filmmaking.  This blog has a lot of articles about the process of making a film, but for the year 2021, I have decided to do a better job at highlighting some of the amazing work being done out there. I want to show you a few great iPhone films each quarter of the year.

Is the iPhone the only device that we can use?

No. I have a film shot on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus.

Next is a film shot in black and white. I wish more filmmakers would try black and white film making. I like the idea of this film just needs better lighting. If you over light you can fix it in post, but if you under light you are going to have problems.

Now let’s look at a behind the scenes video about the making of an iPhone short film.

Are we limited to shooting only short films? Can we shoot a feature film with an iPhone? Yes, of course, we can. It has been done many times and during the next five years, I predict that films short on the iPhone will make up at least ten percent of all films being shot around the world.
